How I Work — Remote, Solo, Transparent

If you're looking for a freelance developer who can take ownership and deliver results, this post is for you. I want to be upfront about how I work so you know exactly what to expect — no surprises.

Remote-First

I work remotely from the UK (Crewe area) and have years of experience managing projects across time zones. I'm comfortable with async communication, overlapping schedules when needed, and clear written updates. I don't need an office — I need a clear brief and regular check-ins.

Solo or Small Teams

I thrive when I own a feature, module, or project end-to-end — whether flying solo or in a small team. I take a problem, design the solution, build it, and ship it. I communicate clearly and provide clean handovers. Solo projects, small teams, or freelance contracts — I'm flexible. Always open to a conversation.

Contract, Freelance, Part-Time

Depending on the project, I take on short- or medium-term contracts, project-based freelance work, or part-time collaborations (e.g. 2–3 days per week).

If your project requires full-time office presence or large-team coordination, I'm probably not the right fit. But solo work, small teams, contract, part-time — I'm open. If you need someone to own a project and deliver results, let's talk.

My Workflow

Good communication solves most problems. I'm not here for games or vague expectations — we're professionals. Clear briefs, honest updates, and direct feedback. That's it.

  • Clear brief & resources — Access to repositories, staging, APIs, and a point of contact.
  • Regular syncs — Weekly check-ins or as-needed updates to align on priorities.
  • Responsive communication — Typically reply within 24 hours, often sooner.
  • Documentation & handover — Decisions, code, and notes are documented for easy follow-up.
  • Scope adherence — I stick to the agreed brief; changes are flagged and discussed.
  • Fast delivery for smaller projects — Websites and straightforward projects can be delivered quickly, with updates and tweaks handled along the way.

Technology Stack

I pick the right tools for each project, ensuring systems are production-ready, scalable, and revenue-focused.

Core / Most Used:
TypeScript · Node.js · React · Next.js · PostgreSQL · Supabase · Prisma

Extended / Adaptable:
JavaScript · Express · tRPC · WebSockets · Stripe · Tailwind CSS · Vercel · Render …and more

My goal is to use the right tool for the right problem — no unnecessary complexity, always focused on results.

Best Fit

  • Remote contract, part-time, or project-based freelance work
  • Solo or small teams — ownership of modules, features, or full projects
  • UK or EU timezone-friendly

Let's Connect

If this workflow fits your project, let's chat. Free consultation, no obligation — I prefer we both know upfront that it's a good match.

These are my preferences, not hard rules. If you have something that might work — hybrid, different arrangement, or an interesting project — reach out. We can always talk.
